I appreciate the podcast. I share some of your critique of The Bulwark, though from a different perspective as a former elected official—and I also recognize the power of its reach with certain political leaders.

I worry that some of your discussion feeds a broader anti-government sentiment. That doesn’t just hurt Trump—it reinforces distrust across the board, which is a bigger long-term problem. If and when the Dem's take control, this cumulative distrust which handcuff any claw back of reasonable possibilities.

Your logo reminds me of https://pizzaranch.com/ It is a chain where many Republicans hold events in Iowa.

Good point, Mirrors that which I have for fellow progressives who vent, constantly, about evil capitalism. Too much Marx, which is also a cult.

Were it not capitalism none of us would be alive, and there would be no United States.

This country grew out of a capitalist enterprise known as the London Company of Virginia, a joint venture enterprise where merchants and lesser nobility, pooled their money and approached their King for a charter to explore and exploit the New World, in that portion of the eastern seaboard from the location of the disappeared Roanoke, to Maine and it was called Virginia, the whole seaboard.

The Virginia colony did not exist until 1624, when King James vacated the third charter.

Where it not for capitalism we wouldn't be venting our opinions on a computer that can collect and transmit data electronically.

The problem isn't capitalism, but unrestrained capitalism. No one likes restraints, especially teen agers, rules and restraint, but they are necessary and have to be imposed from without, Other wise the unrestrained person, system, ideology, will spiral outwards until it is extinguished.

The goal of the Broligarchy is to create a world in which there is no restraint on them, but if they succeed they will desroy themselves.

And Trump/MAGA know of what you write. Those who want more power/money will try to destroy the institutions of power that restrains capitalism--media, 3 branches of govt., popular organizing, etc.

Yep, however media was compromised long ago, now under Trump it is all under their control
