I think you are correct about MTG but add this much, as a privileged member of congress she has had a peek at the Epstein files, she knows what is in them, and knows how damaging they are, and thus cast her lot, with the core of MAGA, of which she is a card carrying member.
It is known that she had senatorial aspirations. Maybe she has presidential aspirations and plans on riding them the WH as the real MAGA deal.
One thing I have learned in life, nothing is every as it appears to be., take nothing at face value.
