When you talk about “the Democrats “. I’m not sure who you mean. Yes, if Chuck Schumer doesn’t recognize that Israel has become a terrorist state, I expect they will find a new leader. The leadership of the Democratic Party is always too concerned about pleasing the donors. The Democratic voters are supporting more progressive, more aggressive candidates. There are more than 1000 grassroots organizations supporting more progressive candidates with money, time and effort. Some, but not enough of those organizations are organizing Black voters. The more people they get to vote, the more attention will be paid later.

Putting Israel at the top of the list of complaints, exposes one as nothing more than a Jew hater. The deference to Israel is not THE problem, but a symptom of the problem.

I'm not sure the Dems will take either chamber of Congress in November, because they absolutely refuse to even discuss Republican election malfeasance, let alone build in safeguards to protect election infrastructure. Their approach is to get out the vote, so that the election is "too big to rig". But this attitude totally discounts technological interference with regards to voting machines.

I agree. Any major election is going to be suspect after what happened in 2024. We just can't trust it when it's electronically managed. Trump and Musk basically admitted it right out in public knowing that most Americans were too stupid to understand it or believe it.

I believe the only fair elections in November will be done by verified ballots and hand counts. It'll take a very long time but it will be much more valid.

How do you know the Dems didn’t force her to concede, very similar to how they forced Eric Swalwell to resign from Congress last week?

I can see them saying to her — if you contest this election we will not support you, we’ll call you a sore loser. The fact that even now they refuse to discuss election fraud, speaks volumes to me, and I can see them doing something like that.

Appearances matter more to Dems than Democracy. They forced Swalwell out, a few years ago it was Al Franken. It’s been others as well.

How successful would a contested election action be if the political party that was harmed is unwilling to stand behind their own nominee?

Do you think Dems would have the guts to demand manual recounts? People may then want to know why they didn’t do the same in November 2024, when Trump won all 7 swing states. That sounds statistically impossible to me. But the Dems were more concerned with appearances in 2024 than they were with saving our democracy, in my humble opinion.

I received email from Kamala, she is thinking of running again. I signed on to her site, and told her, no way, she couldn't wait to concede, doing so on Nov 6th at 4 PM, while votes were still being counted, and there were obvious serious vote stealing going on at least in Pennsylvania.

She is unworthy, cowardly, and frankly I don't trust her, she is a political and bends with the bend, no principles.

If the Democratic party came out full bore leftist, for everything, including anti Israel,What do you think would happen to them on election day?

because what happens to the Democratic party bleeds over, as we all are finding out, to all of us, to all America, black, brown, immigrant here on a visa, gay, trans, women, lst Amendment, our standard of living, our Constitutional Rights, wealth transfer from the bottom to the top?

BLM, defund the police, reparations, abortion, the transgendered "menace" got alligator wrestling, meth toothed, bib overalled Johnny Redneck off his dirty couch and to the polls.

"Post-Electoral Redemption will be excruciatingly difficult." When in history has this *not* been the case, and are there lessons for our time? Agree with @Laurie on impatience in our age, though I'd say media reflects the broader culture and they feed on each other...

If it’s a reasonably fair process, the Dems will win the House. I may regret typing this.

I couldn't agree strongly enough. Even if we have an election (not a foregone conclusion), even if the blue wave is so big that it overcomes all the repressive, suppressive actions by the MAGA fascists, and even if progressives were to win a supermajority, there is enough damage and enough sand in the gears (SCOTUS, for example) that it will take a very long time to right the ship even to pretrump days, which ain't sayin' much. In particular, the supermajority will be blamed for lack of instant salvation, and we'll be back in the same old rightward swing in the election(s) to follow. 21st Century media has not exactly done good things (sarcastic understatement) for human persistence and patience.

What concerns me Laurie is

1. Republican controlled states have passed over a hundred voter suppression laws.

2. Republican controlled states have tinkered with ballot boxes and vote by mail

3. The RNC has trained 10,000 poll watchers to be placed at crucial sites in blue states.

4. These poll watchers will possibly be armed, and Trump has threatened to deploy National Guard under the pretense of a (leftist) terrorist threat.

5. Republican states have been scrubbing voter rolls (voter caging)

6. Threats of violence and intimidation have caused independent election commissions to ressign, and replaced by MAGAts. One example that comes to mind is San Bernardino, CA another to look at is Fulton co., GA

Some states, Red states, have their own voter ID laws, such as student ID's are insufficient by an NRA or Right to carry card is sufficient.

All of this to ensure that the South and Rural America retain control of the house.

To overcome the handicap, every registered Democrat will have to turn out to vote, as will cliff hanging independents.
