If we’re going to call it the Department of Corrections, and she STILL has the same lack of remorse, maybe put an ankle monitor on her, but pardon? No. She remains uncorrected. Nine years IS a lot, especially when compared to the POTUS, who deserves a thousand life sentences in my view. I wish the Bulwark crew would commit to getting the huge money out of politics! Just because Miller is gay doesn’t change the fact that he’s a white male at the end of the day.
Also, and this is NOT a defense, I think Miller, who is likeable in several ways, especially when he admits his flaws, may be gradually descending into some degree of alcoholism. And in Nawlins, it may go undetected by many in that town and seen as culturally normal by SOME. Miller needs to let us know if he has a personal connection to Polis that is influencing his position.
